US Retail Sales Muted in November

Specialty stores rise, while department and discounters fall.

It was a mixed shopping bag for US retailers in November, according to results of the US Commerce Department’s monthly retail sales report. Sales at apparel specialty stores increased for the month, but department stores and discounters reported a decline in sales.
